Louise Nevelson: Works in Wood
The fourth in an ongoing series of exhibitions investigating currents in the development of 20th century sculpture.
Works on view exemplify Nevelson’s alert and imaginative scavenging through which she assembles various found fragments of wood into austere boxes, reliefs, columns, and walls. Publication with essay by guest curator Ceil Friedman.
This project has been supported in part by the Museum Program of the National Endowment for the Arts.
