The Student Guide Program provides knowledge of MIT’s Public Art Collection, contemporary art practices, visual literacy and analysis, critical thinking, and public engagement with art, architecture, and environs.

The MIT List Visual Arts Center is pleased to introduce the 2022–2023 group of Student Guides who lead walking tours of the Public Art Collection.

Fatima Nasir Abbasi, MIT Class of 2025 majoring in Mathematics. On campus, she is involved with student government and writing and is interested in the process of making art and how it comes together or splits apart for different forms of art.

Audrey Gatta, MIT Class of 2023 majoring in Art & Design with a minor in Spanish. Audrey is also involved in Design for America, and her interests lie in bridging engineering and the arts.

Julia Hoeffner, MIT Class of 2026 majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Julia is interested in the intersection of art and technology, and relaxes by playing music and cooking.

Aviva Intveld, MIT Class of 2023 majoring in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences and minoring in Materials Science and Engineering. On campus, Aviva is involved in sustainability and interfaith efforts, and she is passionate about the way science influences artistic processes.
