Graduate Student Talk: Gedney Barclay
Take a look at the List’s exhibitions from a new perspective. Join Gedney Barclay (MIT Program in Art, Culture and Technology) to discover more about the exhibition List Projects: Narrative Color.
About the Speaker
Gedney Barclay is an artist with a background in experimental theater. In her work in video, installation, and performance, she returns again and again to the infinite ways of parsing the inner and the outer, in delineating between anima and automata, skin and soul, machine and matter. Her practice is an expanded exploration in the techniques, technologies, and affects of deception, duplicity, and dispute. She is a second year graduate student at MIT’s program in Art, Culture and Technology.
About the Series
Graduate Student Gallery Talks at the List present focused explorations of our current exhibitions and are led by an MIT graduate student. These interdisciplinary talks examine art through the lens of students’ research, backgrounds, and interests. Talks are free and open to the public.
