The Repository of Absent Flesh

A new installation exploring themes of war, memory, history, and politics.

The exhibition’s presentation takes the form of a stylized warehouse/wunderkammer, in which various found objects — a camera, a motorcycle, an anatomical model of the human brain, a knife — will be displayed. As visitors to the gallery pause to consider each object, a light will illuminate it and a recorded voice will narrate a brief story about the object’s history and significance.

A full-color catalogue documenting The Repository of Absent Flesh, containing an essay by art historian Arthur Danto, will be published during the course of the exhibition.
