Partner Programs

The List Center engages in partnerships with departments at MIT and area universities as well as local community partners and other national art institutions to create intentional relationship building and shared impact-focused programs. Recent partners include MIT’s Women and Gender Studies Department, Catalyst Conversations, and Boston Design Week. If you have suggestions for future partnerships, please contact listprograms [at] mit.edu (listprograms[at]mit[dot]edu).

Catalyst Conversations

Launched in October 2012, Catalyst Conversations presents artists whose work resonates with science and technology. We are interested in connecting art and science through programs involving artists presenting to the science and technology community, as well as public events, which demonstrate the conversation between art and science and technology and the ways they connect.

Women Take the Reel

The annual Women Take the Reel film festival is a collaborative effort among Women’s and Gender Studies departments that features films directed by women and about issues relating to gender, race, sexuality, class, and/or feminism. The focus is on intellectual investigation of these issues as well as visibility for woman-identifying directors, and so every film is accompanied by a Q&A and discussion with either the film director, producer, relevant organization, or a faculty member from the film screening’s host institution.
