Join friends of the List Center to commemorate the opening of Performing Conditions: Artistic Labor and Dependency as Form.

Performing Conditions examines how art is shaped by the economic, social, and political forces surrounding it. Bringing together works that foreground the conditions of their own making and circulation, the exhibition explores the entangled relationships between artistic production, labor, debt, and dependency.

Performances by Goldin+Senneby and Irena Haiduk will commence during the opening reception.

Exhibiting artists and the exhibition curators will be in attendance. Light refreshments from Althea and beverages from Momma's Grocery + Wine will be served.

This event kicks off the List Center's 40th Anniversary Celebration. Please join us as we reflect on four decades of experimental practice, bold artistic inquiry, and groundbreaking exhibitions and public art at MIT. See below for the full schedule of events:

Registration is required, space for performances is limited and guests will be accommodated on a first come first served basis. Guests are welcome to join for individual performances or attend the entire celebration.
