Fall Exhibitions Opening Reception

Join us for the opening reception to celebrate two new exhibitions at the List Center: Uri Aran and Hao Jingban.
The opening reception will follow an Artist Talk with exhibiting artist, Hao Jingban, from 5:30-6:30PM.
Exhibiting artists and exhibition curators will be in attendance. Light refreshments and beverages from Momma's Grocery + Wine will be served.
Uri Aran
Uri Aran's work is at once deeply idiosyncratic and oddly familiar: to follow it is to tinker alongside the artist, to be let in on an invention, or perhaps a shorthand between friends. Aran’s first major institutional solo exhibition in the United States gathers a new body of work: annotated panels that hover between quick line drawing and painting, welded sculptures that pose like equations, bulbous forms worked by hand in plasticene and foam, and a mass of piled-up googly eyes—the most elementary form of affect and animation—tragicomically raised to the scale of an earthwork.
Hao Jingban
Blending documentary sensibility with poetic construction, Hao Jingban makes moving-image installations that are emotionally precise, historically incisive, and formally experimental. Hao’s first major US museum solo gathers recent work centered on I Witness (2025), a three-channel installation that takes up the embodied residue of the COVID-19 pandemic: four participants move slowly through a well-lit apartment, their images punctuated by stories of loss—an older woman who sleeps alone and rises to clean her refrigerator, a group of young people pacing an open field.
