Student Lending Art Program

A student with brown curly hair and a blue mask holds a large framed print of fish underwater that reads "Save Our Planet Save Our Fish."

In the fall of 2021, as we were still navigating MIT's back-to-campus protocols, we were thrilled to present a mini version of the Student Lending Art Program. For the first time, we offered a remote signup so students could enter the lottery online and then come into the galleries to make their selections. We welcomed many masked and smiling students back!

The List Center added 30 artworks to the Student Lending Art Collection this year with support from the Friends of Boston Art, Sara-Ann and Robert Sanders, Karen and Greg Arenson, the John Taylor Endowment, the Alan May Endowment, the List Visual Arts Center Advisory Committee, and generous gifts of art from James and Audrey Foster, Richard and Beth Marcus, and Jeanne and Don Stanton.
