Introducing 2017 Spring Gallery Guides

The MIT List Visual Arts Center is pleased to announce the inaugural group of Student Guides to lead tours of the public art collection and exhibitions at the List Center. The Student Guide training program will provide knowledge of MIT’s public art collection, contemporary art practices, visual literacy and analysis, critical thinking, and public engagement with art, architecture and environs. We would like to invite you to join one of our public tours or book your own group visit this spring to be led by one of the new Student Guides.

Please join us in welcoming four new Student Guides to the List Visual Arts Center.  

Madison Hill, Undergraduate interested in physics and mathematics, member of MIT Dance troupe and Technique. Madison is also currently a tutor in Latin and Mathematics.

Joe Faraguna, Undergraduate interested in bioengineering with a minor in computer science and design, member of Varsity Cross Country and Track and Brother at Zeta Psi at MIT. Joe is also currently a User Research Assistant for ClimateX and Hive Initiative in the Office of Digital Learning at MIT.

 Timmy A. Hussain, Undergraduate interested in aerospace/aeronautical engineering, member of the animation group and Tae Kwon Do at MIT. Timothy is also currently a tutor in math and reading at the Cambridge Community Center.

 Claire Traweek, Undergraduate interested in electrical engineering. Currently continues work as founder of clikedIndustries, a local maker group and facilitated with the building of a braille translator.
