The MIT List Visual Arts Center is pleased to re-open its galleries to members of the MIT community who are enrolled in MIT’s Covid Pass Program.
No appointments necessary!
MIT COVID Pass Program
All MIT students, faculty and staff visitors to the gallery must be enrolled in MIT’s COVID Pass Program and provide appropriate attestation as to their testing or vaccination status when planning their visit.
Bring Your Mask
A mask must be worn over the nose and mouth at all times, regardless of vaccination status. No neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, or face coverings with valves, mesh, or holes. This is required for all visitors over age 2 and all staff and volunteers.
If you don’t feel well on the day of your visit or exhibit COVID-19 symptoms please stay home.
There is no coat or bag check available, so leave valuables at home and bring only those items you can comfortably carry. Please note no bags larger than 11”x 14” are permitted in the galleries.
During Your Visit
Maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet from others. Use hand sanitizer stations located throughout and at entrance to galleries and wash hands frequently. Follow traffic flow directions to enter and exit galleries to allow for physical distancing.
ENHANCED HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES
These measures are in line with MIT’s recommendations and policies for reopening campus wide, and Massachusetts Public Health guidelines for museums to reopen safely during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic:
Upgraded Air Filtration Systems
HVAC systems have been upgraded with MERV 13 filters, which are replaced frequently and achieve 4–5 air changes per hour in gallery spaces.
Enhanced Cleaning Protocols
Enhanced and more frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces and restrooms has been implemented.
Hand Sanitizer Stations Available
Hand sanitizer stations are placed at the museum entrance.
Physical Distancing Cues
Physical distancing cues are provided in galleries, with limited wall text to reduce gathering.
Our priority is the health and safety of all of our visitors and we look forward to having you visit the galleries soon.
