Richard Kriesche: CULTECH (Artist-in-Residence)

ShowingNovember 16, 1985 -
December 31, 1985

Known for his experiments and collaborative efforts in film, video, site-specific installations, and publications, Austrian artist Richard Kriesche will spend six weeks in the Reference Gallery of the List Visual Arts Center, beginning November 16, 1985. Using MIT as both reference and resource, his explorations will focus on the relationship of new technologies to the social conditions which they both convey and create. Drawing also upon research undertaken earlier at the alternative space Washington Project for the Arts, Kriesche’s stay will culminate in the production of a half-hour program for “The Territory of Art,” a series produced for public radio by the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art.
