The Way Things Go is the masterwork of Peter Fischli and David Weiss. In this film their ongoing attempts to find the extraordinary and the magical within the commonplace reach perfection. Inside a warehouse, they build a 100-feet long kinetic structure that is made out of common household items — tea kettles, tires, old shoes, balloons, and wooden ramps. Using fire, water, gravity, and chemistry, they create an amazing chain reaction.
