Public Program | Curator Talk Materialisms in the Work of Alicja Kwade

December 6, 2019, 12:30PM

MIT List Visual Arts Center, 20 Ames St., Cambridge MA

Join List Center Assistant Curator Selby Nimrod for a walkthrough of Alicja Kwade: In Between Glances. This guided exhibition tour and informal conversation will offer a close look at the materiality of Kwade’s work.  Thinking through the specificities and historical resonances of the materials and fabrication methods Kawde employs, we will consider how her sculptures both replicate and challenge concepts of value within the context of art making and outside of it.
