Join families at the List for a day of art and exploration. FREE and open to all; no advanced registration required.
Graphic Text Workshop: 12 to 4 pm
Explore the List’s newest exhibition, 9 Artists, to see how contemporary artists make and manipulate text—large or small, simple or ornate—to create dynamic messages in art. Then, make your own bold, alphabet-inspired artwork to continue the conversation.
Family-friendly Tour: 2 pm
Take a guided tour of 9 Artists to see the range and scope of text and lettering on view in the exhibition.
Story Time: 2:30 pm
Listen and look during a spirited reading of Chris Van Allsburg’s The Z Was Zapped: A Play in Twenty-Six Acts.
