Doors open at 7:30 pm. Concert begins at 8 pm.
Ampersand, a monthly collaborative concert series presented by WMBR & List Visual Arts Center, showcases contemporary music in Bartos Theater on MIT’s campus. Ampersand creatively inspires its community by giving musicians an opportunity to juxtapose music and visual art in a respectful setting. Ampersand occurs monthly, and audience members are encouraged to visit the current List exhibition before experiencing each performance.
WMBR and the List are pleased to present first installment of the Ampersand Concert Series featuring headlining artist Julia Kent, an electroacoustic cellist from NYC who uses looped and layered cello recordings to explore the relationship between human creations and nature. The opening artist is Luke Damrosch, an electroacoustic percussionist and visual artist from Providence.
Tickets are available for purchase at the door or online at http//wmbr.org/ampersand.
Cost: $3 with MIT ID, $5 general admission.
