Ampersand presents a wintery concert of lush sonic swirls featuring Forma and Nightime Sunshine

Forma, from Brooklyn, makes a combustible mixture of lush synth explorations and frenetic rhythm. They have captivated the margins of the international synth scene since their acclaimed 2011 debut on John Elliott’s Spectrum Spools label. Forma’s celebrated live performances incorporate techno, noise, and synth music into improvisational journeys veering from the ecstatic to the foreboding. Opener Nightime Sunshine, based locally, is a psychedelic music / video project led by Jesse S. Gallagher, formerly of Apollo Sunshine.

Tickets are available for purchase at the door or in advance online at the link above.

Cost: $3 with MIT ID, $5 general admission.

Ampersand, a collaborative concert series presented by WMBR & List Visual Arts Center, showcases contemporary music in Bartos Theater on MIT’s campus.  Performances blend art and music and happen every other month. Audience members are encouraged to visit the current exhibitions at the List before experiencing each performance.

We’re greatful for the support of Ames Street Deli for providing food for our performers.
