The MIT Friends of Boston Art is a vital group consisting of individuals who are interested in learning about cutting-edge work in the contemporary art field.
Facilitated by the List Visual Arts Center, it is an important resource for those dedicated to keeping up with all that is happening in contemporary art in Cambridge/Boston and beyond. Each year there are several exciting events, including exhibition tours, studio tours, and special lectures. Recent examples include trips to Storm King Art Center and Dia Beacon in New York State, and lesser-known galleries in New York City, an exhibition tour with artist Christian Jankowski, and a tour with demos of MIT’s Touch Lab.
Friends can feel good knowing that their $300 annual tax-deductible membership is used to support the purchase of works by Boston-area artists for the MIT permanent collection.
