1-2 pm: Guided tour of List Projects: Sergei Tcherepnin

2-4 pm: Maximum Overdrive. Directed by Stephen King, 1986, 97 min.

Enjoy a revved-up screening of author Stephen King’s only directorial effort, a cult-favorite horror film loosely based on his short story, “Trucks”. After a radiation storm brings machines and inanimate objects to life, survivors held captive at the Dixie Boy Diner by a group of bad-tempered semis struggle to survive. Bill Robinson (Emilio Estevez), a truck driver and ex-con, rallies survivors after the assault on human life, set to a soundtrack composed by AC/DC.

The film was nominated for two 1986 Golden Raspberry awards, including Worst Director for Stephen King and Worst Actor for Emilio Estevez.
